This vintage Spanish black chantilly lace mantilla veil peineta comb headband dates from the 1930s. The mantilla veil is made of a sheer fine black net chantilly lace, with a floral leaf pattern outlined in black threads with shading and a decorative scalloped border edging. The peineta style comb is made of black velvet covered wire created into a headband, with rhinestone trim edging on the top. This lovely lace Spanish mantilla veil might have been worn as a part of a regional costume or for Flamenco dance. The lace mantilla measures 30 inches long and is 12 inches around the headband. It is in good wearable condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of Spanish influenced lace art!
