This vintage Victorian era gentlemen's black silk collapsible opera top hat dates from 1900. It is made of a black silk satin fabric, with black silk grosgrain textured ribbed fabric trim around the brim and hat band. This dashing dapper gentlemen's opera "topper" top hat is collapsible, which is stored flat and pops up to be worn. It is fully lined in black silk and has a "Exposition Universelle 1900" gold embossed label inside from the world's fair held in Paris, France in 1900. The hat measures 6 inches tall and 23 inches inside circumference. This quality made hat is in good wearable condition and has been gently worn. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana millinery art!
