This antique Edwardian era natural straw wired net lace pearl beaded trim toque hat dates from 1910. It is made of a wired frame, covered with a sheer off white cream color tulle netting and silk lace trim, with pearl beaded accents. There is a woven light color natural straw brim and decorative straw soutache embroidery work trim. This lovely ladies toque style summer hat has a small brim, tall round outer crown, a small muslin lined inside crown which would have sat atop a full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo with hatpins. The measures 35 inches in circumference outside and 17 inches inside the inner crown. It is in good wearable condition, with some loose netting, straw trim and pearl beading in areas. This would make for a wonderful ladies garden tea party summertime hat!
