This vintage New York Creation yellow rose of Texas small cocktail tilt hat fascinator dates from 1940. It is made of a yellow wool knit fabric, with a pastel yellow silk grosgrain ribbon hatband, tulle net veil, ostrich feather and fabric rose flower trim. This Yellow Rose of Texas unique whimsical miniature small ladies doll hat fascinator cocktail hat tilts down the front and has cut remnant straps along the sides which would have held in place. There is a "New York Creation" and "Adjustable" label sewn inside. The hat measures 27 inches in circumference and 17 inches inside the crown. It is in good condition, except for the cut side straps. This is truly a wonderful one of a kind piece of wearable millinery art!
