This antique Titanic Edwardian era cream velvet white beaver felt fur feather wide brim hat dates from 1912. It is made of a ecru cream color ruched pleated gathered silk velvet fabric crown and an off white plush beaver felt fur fabric brim. There is a white faux mink fur animal head trim and large off white ostrich feather plume. This beautiful belle epoque grand winter hat has a wide upturned brim and would have sat atop a large full Gibson Girl style updo hairdo with hatpin. It is lined inside the crown in white cotton. The hat measures 24 inches inside crown circumference and is 47 inches outside. It is in good condition, with only some slight wear, dust and molting of the feather trim. This is truly a dramatic opulent ladies Titanic era hat and a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
