This vintage natural straw wide brim chenille embroidered flapper cloche hat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a natural color tightly woven straw, with blue, brown and tan chenille decorative feather stitching embroidery work trim and a ecru silk grosgrain ribbon bow hatband trim. This stunning sensational summertime cloche style hat has a uneven oval shaped brim which is slightly upturned along the sides. It is fully lined in a ecru silk fabric, with a "McCords 917 State St. Erie, PA" label sewn inside. The hat measures 22 1/2 inches inside crown circumference and 40 inches outside. It is in good condition, with only minor wear. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
