This antique Victorian era black silk crepe pink flower trim mourning bonnet hat dates from the 1880s. It is made of a sheer black silk crepe textured fabric base, with gathered draping, bows. There is a black lace net sequin beaded trim on back and pink silk flower trim on top, which were probably added later after the mourning period was over. This beautiful bonnet has black silk ribbon ties for securing under the chin. It is fully lined in a muslin fabric. The bonnet measures 25 inches in circumference. It is in good condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
