This vintage Maurice Importer gray and blue silk rose flower wide brim cloche hat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a gray and blue silk fabric, with a blue velvet rose flower trim on the side. This fabulous flapper cloche style hat has a wired wide brim covered with a gray taupe sheer silk crepe pleated fabric and decorative stitching along the brim. The brim has an uneven asymmetrical oval shape, which is wider along the sides. It is fully lined in silk and has a "Maurice Importer 16-18 Winter St. Boston, Mass." gold embossed lettering label stamped inside. The hat measures 23 inches inside crown circumference. It is in good condition, with only some tiny faint age spot stains. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
