This vintage Art Deco red velvet gold lamé soutache trim flapper cloche hat dates from the roaring 1920s. The hat is made of a burgundy red color silk velvet fabric, with gold metallic lamé soutache embroidered trim edging on the brim and side flaps. This fabulous flapper cloche style hat is form fitting, with a slight rolled brim and is fully lined inside with black silk and an "Acato Hats" label. The hat measures 22 inches inside circumference. It is in good condition, with some wear to the velvet nap in areas and around the front brim. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile millinery art!
