This vintage Dahlia Model black silk velvet gold lamé embroidered flapper cloche hat dates from the roaring 1920s. The hat is made of black silk and velvet fabrics, with gold metallic lamé, blue chain stitch embroidery work trim sunburst on the front crown and a silver lamé ribbon trim hatband. This fabulous flapper cloche style hat is form fitting, with an uneven floppy brim and is fully lined inside with black silk and a "Dahlia Model San Francisco" label and original store tag attached. The hat measures 22 inches inside circumference. It is in good unworn condition, with only a few missing blue thread embroidered stitches (see close-up). This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco textile millinery art!
