This vintage Leon Hats New York label black and white felt fur jet beaded trim tricorn hat dates from the 1940s. It is made of a black wool felt fabric and a white plush faux beaver felt fur fabric. There is a black jet beaded snowflake trim sewn onto the front upturned brim and a black velvet ribbon hatband. This unique updated reproduction of an 18th century style tricorn hat has a three cornered upturned rolled brim and small rounded top crown, with elastic strap attached underneath to secure onto the head. There is a "Leon Hats New York" designer label, size 22 1/2 tag sewn inside. The hat measures 22 1/2 inches in circumference inside the crown and 47 inches outside. It is in excellent condition. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
