It is made of a dark reddish brown color velvet fabric, with the original trimmings of pink silk roses, white tulle net, black chantilly lace and brown silk ribbon trim accents.

This beautiful bonnet hat has a rigid stiffened, lined front brim with curving spoon style sides, a curtain, cape, flounced fabric drape back and silk ribbon ties for securing under the chin. It is lined inside with an off white muslin fabric. The bonnet measures 28 inches in circumference around the face. It is in good condition, with only some minor wear and yellowing discoloration staining inside on the lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Victoriana millinery art!
