This vintage burgundy velvet orange silk brown cutwork beaded trim wide brim cloche hat dates from the 1920s. It is made of a dark red burgundy color fabric, with a orange silk lined brim covered with brown wool felt cut out fruit pears and apples trimmed with gold metallic soutache work and gold patina studded beading. This fabulous flapper cloche style hat has a form fitting style with an uneven asymmetrical oval shape wide brim, which is wider along the sides and front. It is fully lined in a black silk fabric inside the crown. The hat measures 23 inches inside crown circumference and 42 inches outside. It is in good condition, with some wear to the velvet nap and frayed splits on the orange silk brim lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable Art Deco millinery art!
