It is made of a tightly woven black straw, with colorful silk velvet, gold metallic flower leaf trim on the front ribbon hatband. This beautiful Belle Epoque straw boater style hat has an uneven asymmetrical oval shape wide brim, which is wider along the sides and front, a tall round crown and is unlined. There is the original price tag for $1.75 still attached inside. The hat measures 23 inches inside crown circumference and is 40 inches outside the brim. It is in excellent condition and has never been worn. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery art!
