This Edwardian era Belle Epoque taupe silk autumn fall floral foliage trim wide brim hat dates from 1915. It is made of a grayish brown taupe color silk fabric, with colorful autumn fall foliage silk flowers and leaf trim on the front. This beautiful Belle Epoque hat has an uneven asymmetrical oval shape wide brim, which is wider along the sides, a slouched draped fabric round crown and is fully lined. There is a "Marshall Field & Company Millinery Salon Francais Chicago" label sewn inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference and is 46 inches outside the brim. It is in excellent condition and appears to have never been worn. This is truly a magnificent quality made piece of wearable millinery art!
