It is made of a black plush velvet fabric, with black silk tassel pompoms trim strung down the sides. This Spanish matador montera style mens unique folk costume hat has a bicorn squared shape which can lie flat and is fully lined. The hat measures 12 inches wide at the base, 5 inches tall and is 24 inches inside circumference. It is in good condition, with only some slight fraying along one side of the silk tassel pompoms (see close-up). This is a truly a rare and wonderful piece of European regional textile folk art!
