This vintage M. Lurie & Co harvest gold woven silk ribbon rosette wide brim cloche hat dates from the 1920s. The hat is made of a harvest gold color silk brim fabric, woven horse hair straw and ombre color silk ribbon work embroidered trim, velvet leaf, silk rosette flower trim on the crown. This autumn fall color inspired hat has an uneven asymmetrical oval shaped brim, which is wider along the sides, front and has a slouched round crown. It is fully lined, with the same golden iridescent silk fabric and has a "M. Lurie & Co. Reliable Stores" label inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference and 36 inches outside. It is in fair as-is condition, with some wear and frayed splits on the silk brim and inside lining. This is truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable textile millinery art!
