This antique hand made Belgian Brussels Point de Gaze Duchesse bobbin lace bridal wedding hat dates from the 1900s. The headpiece is made of wire and covered with an off white cream color hand done sheer white filmy linen lace, with veined, raised threads flowers and leaves, joined by braided plaits and has Point de Gaze needle lace petal flower medallions. It was created from antique lace and designed into a 1930s style headpiece. This beautiful bridal wedding cap hat has a tiara crown wired brim style, with a draped curtain back, small hair comb attached at the top and is lined in a sheer tulle net. The cap measures 12 inches framing around the face, 9 inches long on the back drape and has a 2 inch wide front brim. It is in good condition, with only some loose lace and wire. This wonderful wedding bridal headpiece is a beautiful one of a kind piece of antique textile lace art!
