This antique Edwardian era lavender purple gray velvet grape berry leaf large wide brim hat dates from 1910. It is made of a grayish light purple lavender color velvet fabric, with purple chenille whip stitching trim edging the wired brim. There is a faded purple velvet ribbon hatband, purple velvet covered three dimensional clusters of grape berries, vine branches and silk grape leaf trim. This beautiful belle epoque grand hat has a circular wide brim, a tall large round crown and is fully lined in black silk. The hat measures 17 inches wide across the brim, 52 inches in circumference on the outside and has a 22 inch inside crown circumference. It is in good as-is condition, with only some fade discoloration in areas. This is truly an amazing opulent ladies hat, perfect for a day at the vineyard!
