This vintage Lilian Deyber antique embroidered Kashmir wool paisley turban hat dates from the 1940s. It is made of an antique 19th century jacquard hand loomed woven wool paisley with hand embroidered Kashmir wool pieced patchwork border trim along the brim. This stunning turban style hat has a rolled brim, is fully lined in a brown rayon nylon fabric and mesh tulle netting underneath that. There is a "Lilian Deyber Greenwich, Conn." designer label sewn insde. It has wonderful workmanship and detail using old antique Kasmiri, India paisley fabrics and ethnic designs. The hat measures 21 inches in circumference inside. It is in good condition, with only the inside lining loose in areas. This is truly a wonderful piece of wearable millinery paisley textile art!
