This vintage antique womens white lace Dutch folk costume bonnet cap hat dates from the late 19th century. It is made of a sheer white crinoline stiffened pleated cotton muslin and floral lace pattern fabric. This traditional regional ethnic European Dutch folk costume cap bonnet has a triangle shape with winged flaps that turn up on either side, an adjustable drawstring tie chin strap and is sheer, unlined. The beautiful bonnet measures 11 inches tall, 12 inches in circumference around the bottom with an additional 6 inch tie strap on each side and is 6 inches wide deep, 12 inches wide from the front flaps to the back. It is in good condition, with only some faint slight soiling along the bottom edging. This is a truly a wonderful piece of Dutch textile folk art!
