This antique Edwardian era black woven horse hair crinoline feather trim wired wide brim hat dates from 1915. It is made of a black sheer woven stiffened horse hair crinoline covering a wired brim with black feather plume trim accents and a black silk lustrous ribbon hatband surrounding the crown. This beautiful black hat has a large flat round shape with a circular low round crown and is lined in a black cotton fabric inside. The hat measures 14 inches wide across the brim, 44 inches in circumference on the outside and has a 22 1/2 inch inside crown circumference. It is in good as-is condition, with some slight fraying separation along the brim edging in areas (see close-ups). This is truly a wonderful piece of millinery wearable art!
