This antique Edwardian era womens National Cloak Suit Co. NY black straw boater hat dates from 1910. It is made of a black woven straw, with a black silk moire ribbon hatband. This beautiful boater style womens summer hat has a stiff round low flat crown and brim. The inside crown is lined with tulle mesh net, with a leather sweatband and white silk fabric label stamped "National Cloak and Suit Co. New York" inside. The hat measures 22 inches inside crown circumference, 12 inches wide across and the crown is 4'' inches high. It is in good condition with some slight fade discoloration, is a bit dusty and has some flaking, fraying along the leather inside sweatband. This is truly a wonderful womens early sportswear hat perfect for outdoor activities boating and sailing!
