This pair of antique Egyptian women's mother of pearl carved wood mule shoes date from the 1920s. They are made of hand carved wood painted black, with gold dots and inlaid with mother of pearl. These unique ladies mules slipper shoes have a platform front lift, green woven silk leather upper strap across the instep and high heels. This style of shoe was worn in Cairo Egypt by the wealthy Mohammedan women and are dated on the bottom 1921. The shoes measure 9 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with a 2 1/2 inch heel. They are in good condition, with some wear to the straps and black paint. These are truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of wearable antique shoe Egyptian art.
