This pair of antique Victorian era black silk quilted fur trim winter carriage boots date from 1890. They are made of a black silk satin quilted stitched fabric, with a soft sheared black beaver fur trim edging down the front and around the tops. These charming carriage winter snow boots are fully lined in a dyed purple lambs wool for warmth, with black silk ribbon ties down the front for closure and hard leather bottom soles. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches long and 3 inches wide. They have been gently worn and have some tiny faint stains, slight molting fur, frayed ribbon ties and the tongue trim edging is different on each boot.
