This pair of antique Pakistan Punjab gold embroidered curl toe jutti shoes date from the 1920s. They are hand made of leather and gold metal thread gilt wire embroidery work. These men's jutti slip-on slipper shoes flats have curled up pointed toes called mojari and hand stitched leather bottom straight soles. They are lined in red leather, with gold metallic embroidered arrows inside. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 5 1/2 inch long curled leather tip toes. They are in good wearable condition and look to have been gently worn, with only some slight tarnish oxidation to the gold thread in areas. These are truly a beautiful one of a kind piece of wearable antique Pakistan Indian textile art. |
