Victorian Bronze Brown Leather High Top Button Boots. |
This pair of antique Victorian era bronze brown leather high top button boots date from 1900. They are made of a dark brown iridescent bronze color supple leather, with the original pearl brown shoe buttons along the side for closure. These high top boots have 3 inch high leather French spool heels, pointed toes and scalloped tops. They are embossed in gold lettering around the inside leather top lining "Frederick Loeser & Co. Brooklyn New York" department store and marked a size 6B. The boots measure 10 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide and 10 inches tall. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be approximately a US size 6 1/2 or 7 narrow width. They are in excellent wearable condition and have been gently worn, with only some slight scuffing on the front toes. These are beautiful quality made antique boots and are a museum deaccession. |
