This pair of antique Victorian Civil War era gentlemen's brown wool embroidered slippers shoes date from the 1860s. They are made of a brown wool fabric, with colorful raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work done in a floral leaf design. These sensational gentlemen's slip-on slipper style shoes have squared toes, tongue flaps, brown stitched trim around the top edging, slightly crooked leather soles, low stacked wood heels and are lined in leather. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 1 inch heel. They have been gently worn and have a few moth nip holes and some wear to the embroidery work and stitching which is missing or loose in areas. Tweet
