This pair of antique Victorian era red and black embroidered velvet leather shoes date from the 1870s. They are made of a two tone red and black textured leather shoe, with black velvet front toes and colorful hand stitched floral embroidery work. These unique ladies lace-up style shoes have decorative stitching, scalloped trim edging, squared toes, slightly crooked leather soles, French Louis XV high heels and the original tassel end shoes lace strings. They are lined in tan leather. The shoes measure 9 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 1 1/2 inch heels. They are in as-is fair condition, with some wear to the velvet nap and the leather is dry, stiff with some flaking and rub marks (see close-ups). These would be great for study, pattern, or display.
