This pair of antique Victorian era child's brown and black leather dainty ankle half boots date from the 1850s. They are hand stitched, made of a two tone brown and black leather, with black capped front toes. These small children's dainty ankle length half boot style high-low have the original brown lacing shoe strings, a squared toe, slightly crooked hard leather bottom soles and are lined in a flax linen fabric. The boots measure 6 1/2 inches long, 2 inches wide and 2 1/2 inches tall. They have been gently worn, with some wear, cracking and peeling to the leather in areas. The shoe string lacing is frayed. These French style boots are a rare and unique example which would be great for display, study or pattern. |
