This pair of antique Victorian era Mayer Martha Washington brown leather high top lace-up boots date from 1900. They are made of a dark chocolate brown color leather, with decorative punch work designs across the toes. The boots have the original brown shoe laces, pointed toes and stacked wooden cube heels. They are lined inside and have a "Martha Washington Mayer Milwaukee Custom Made" label sewn inside (see close-up). The boots measure 10 1/2 inches tall, 11 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be about a size 8 narrow width. They have been gently worn and are in good wearable condition, with only some minor wear discoloration and scuffs. The inside leather lining the tops is cracked and flaking. These are beautiful quality made boots.
