This pair of vintage gold metallic lamé leather platform ankle strap shoes date from the 1940s. They are made of a colorful gold metallic lamé silk fabric, with gold leather trim front lifts. These elegant evening Art Deco style shoes have a decorative lamé bow trim vamp instep, peek-a-boo open toes and sides, with adjustable ankle straps, gold buckle closures and modified boulevard high heels. They are stamped inside "Boret Los Angeles" a size 7M. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 3 inch high heels. They have been gently worn, with some wear, discoloration on the leather trim and a small frayed split on the back side ankle strap which needs repair stitching (see close-up). These are truly a wonderful piece of Art Deco textile wearable art!
