This pair of antique Victorian era wedding white kid bow trim high back heel straight sole shoes date from 1845. They are hand stitched, made of a soft white kid leather, with decorative leather bow trim covering the instep vamp. These unique ladies slipper shoes have squared toes, squared front tongues, a high back heel pull, straight leather bottom soles with no left or right distinction and a low leather covered French Louis XV high heel. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with a 1 1/2 inch high heel. They are in good condition, and have been worn, with some scuffs, age spotting, soiling dirt. These delicate wedding slippers were probably reserved for indoor wear, evening dress or special occasions. These are a rare unique and early find!
