This pair of antique Chinese pink silk embroidered floral butterfly bird slipper shoes date from the 1920s. They are made of a pale pastel pink fabric, with colorful pastel silk raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work and black silk trim edging. There are embroidered butterflies, birds, pomegranates and flowers. These slipper style slip-on shoes have quilted hand stitched leather hard bottom soles which still have remnants of the original paper label and are fully lined in blue linen with red ink stamp labels from Hong Kong inside. The shoes measure 9 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. They are in good wearable condition and look to have been barely worn. These are a wonderful piece of wearable antique Chinese textile art! $100 |
