This pair of antique Victorian era wedding white kid bow trim ribbon ties straight sole shoes date from 1845. They are hand stitched, made of a soft white kid leather, with decorative leather bow trim covering the instep vamp. These lovely ladies slipper shoes have squared toes, wrap around ribbon lacing ties, straight leather bottom soles with no left or right distinction and a low leather covered French Louis XV high heel. The shoes measure 9 1/2 inches long, 2 1/4 inches wide, with a 1 inch high heel. They are in good condition, and have been gently worn, with some scuffs and tiny age spotting stains. These delicate wedding slippers were probably reserved for indoor wear, evening dress or special occasions. These are a rare and early find!
