This pair of antique Victorian era wedding white kid leather rosette petal bow trim heel shoes date from the 1850s. They are made of a soft white kid leather, with decorative leather rosette petal bow trim covering the instep vamp and tongue. These lovely ladies slipper shoes have slightly rounded square toes, straight leather bottom soles with no left or right distinction and a low leather covered French Louis XV high heel. There is a "Patent Applied For" label on the bottom sole and 4C is written inside on the cotton twill fabric lining. The shoes measure 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with a 1 inch high heel. They are in good condition, and have been gently worn. These delicate wedding slippers were probably reserved for indoor wear, evening dress or special occasions. These are a rare and early find!
