Victorian Brown Brocade Wool & Leather Two Tone High Top Lace-up Boots.

Victorian Brown Brocade Wool & Leather Two Tone High Top Lace-up Boots. This pair of antique Victorian era brown brocade wool and leather two tone high top lace-up boots date from 1880. They are made of a two tone color combination, with a brown and white polka dot asterisk pattern brocade wool fabric upper boot and brown leather lower shoe and trim.

This pair of antique Victorian era brown brocade wool and leather two tone high top lace-up boots date from 1880. They are made of a two tone color combination, with a brown and white polka dot asterisk pattern brocade wool fabric upper boot and brown leather lower shoe and trim. The boots have the original brown shoe laces, pointed toes with a decorative scallop trim design, leather trim strip on the front & back and stacked wooden low cube heels. They are stamped on the bottom leather soles "R.J. & R.S. Co. Progress". The boots measure 7 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot but my guess would be about a size 6 or 7 narrow width. They have been gently worn and are in good condition, with only some minor wear to the leather with faint discoloration. These are truly a rare and beautiful quality made boots!
