This pair of antique Victorian era aubergine leather steel cut beaded patriotic stars high top lace-up boots date from 1890. They are made of an iridescent dark purplish brown aubergine eggplant color leather, with steel cut beading done in a patriotic star pattern design on the front toes and decorative beading going around the sides. These beautiful beaded boots have the original black shoe laces, pointed toes and leather covered French spool heels. They are lined inside in leather and linen with a "Marshall Field & Co. Chicago" store label. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 3 inch high heels and are stamped inside a size 5 B. They are in good condition, have been gently worn, with only some minor creasing, scuffing on the leather and a few missing beads. These are truly a rare and quality made boot great for display! |
