This pair of unworn antique Victorian era black wool and leather high top button boots Poehlman Shoe Co. dates from 1900. They are made of a supple black leather bottom shoe, with a black wool fabric top. The boots have pointed toes, 15 black shoe buttons along the side for closure and stacked black wooden cube heels. They are stamped inside "The Poehlman Shoe Co. Syracuse, N.Y. Post Standard Bld." and "Harry H. Gray Syracuse N.Y." on the black soled bottoms. The boots measure 9 1/2 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 6 or 7 narrow width. They are old store stock, in unworn excellent wearable condition. These are truly a rare and beautiful quality made antique boot!
