This pair of unworn antique Victorian era brown leather high top lace-up boots Poehlman Shoe Co. dates from 1900. They are made of a supple brown leather, with decorative punch work designs on the toes. The boots have pointed toes, the original brown shoe string laces for closure and stacked wooden cube heels. They are stamped inside "The Poehlman Shoe Syracuse, N.Y. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 1 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 6 or 7 narrow width. They are old store stock, in unworn good wearable condition, with only some faint scuffs and water spots from storage. These are truly a rare and beautiful quality made antique boot!
