This pair of vintage Poehlman Shoe Co unworn Victorian era antique black leather high top lace-up boots dates from 1900. They are made of a supple black leather, with decorative punch work designs across the toes. The boots have pointed toes, the original black shoe string laces for closure and black stacked wooden cube heels. They are stamped inside "The Poehlman Shoe Co. Syracuse, N.Y." and on the bottom soles "John Gray". The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 7 narrow width. They are old store stock, in unworn good wearable condition, with only some scuffs marks on the bottom of one shoe from display & storage. These are truly a rare and beautiful quality made antique boot!
