This pair of antique Victorian era black velvet and leather high top button boots WH Tuttle Co. Boston dates from 1900. They are made of a black leather bottom shoe, with a black velvet fabric top. The boots have pointed toes with decorative punch work designs on the front toes, 14 black shoe buttons along the side for closure and stacked black wooden cube heels. They are stamped inside "The W.H. Tuttle Co. Boston" size 4 1/2 B. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 6 narrow width. They are gently worn, in good wearable condition, with some flaking of the inside leather trim. These are truly a rare and beautiful quality made antique boot!
