This pair of antique Victorian era brown leather crooked sole side lacing dainty ankle half boots date from the 1850s. They are made of a dark brown leather, with original side lacing silk shoe strings. These early dainty half boot shoes have a slightly crooked hard leather bottom sole stamped with the number 5, squared toes and a low slight heel. They are lined in a linen fabric. The boots measure 9 1/2 inches long and 2 inches wide. They are in good condition, with some scuffs on the leather and is missing the binding trim around the tops. These are a rare and early find of antique Victoriana shoe art!
