This pair of vintage silver leather lamé brocade button strap Mary Jane flapper shoes date from the 1920s. They are made of a silver lamé damask weave brocade fabric, with a woven berry leaf pattern design and silver metallic leather trim edging. These fancy flapper evening shoes have a Mary Jane style, with a mother of pearl button closure, cut out side straps across the instep vamps, rounded toes and silver leather covered cube heels. They are lined and have a "Made Expressly For Crawford's Bootery Lima, Ohio" label inside. The shoes measure 10 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with a 2 1/2 inch high heel and are approximately a size 7 or 8 narrow width. They have been gently worn and are in good condition, with only some slight faint tarnish discoloration. These are truly a wonderful quality made shoe and wearable Art Deco shoe art! |
