This pair of antique Victorian era womens red leather quilted silk lining backless mules slipper shoes date from 1870. They are made of a dark red burgundy color leather, with a red quilted stitching silk fabric lining. These radiant red ladies backless mules slip-on slipper style shoes have pointed toes and red leather covered low French Louis XV heels. The shoes measure 8 1/2 inches long and 2 1/2 inches wide. They are in good condition and have been gently worn, with some creasing in the leather, tiny frays on the silk sole lining. There is a numbered tag printed on the leather bottom soles and are a museum deaccession. These are truly a wonderful unique piece of wearable antique Victoriana shoe art!
