This pair of vintage Peacock Shoe Art Deco black silk satin silver button strap Mary Jane shoes date from the 1920s. They are made of a black silk satin fabric with a decorative silver metallic leather trim accent, button strap across the instep. These beautiful black evening flapper dance shoes have a Mary Jane style with button strap closure across the instep, rounded toes and black satin covered modified boulevard high heels. They are lined in leather, with a "Peacock Shoe" gold embossed label inside and "The Slipper Shoppe Inc. Modesto, Calif." size 36. The shoes measure 9 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels and are approximately a size 7. They have been gently worn and have some minor wear along the leather straps. These are truly a rare find of wearable Art Deco shoe art!
