Unworn Edwardian Brown Two Tone Leather High Top Lace-up Boots & Shoe Box. Tweet
|
This pair of unworn antique Edwardian era brown two tone leather high top lace-up boots and shoe box dates from 1910. They are made of a supple brown two tone color leather. These beautiful boots have pointed toes, the original brown shoe string laces for closure, stacked wooden cube heels and are stamped on the bottom leather soles "Roney and Berger Co.". They come in the original shoe box covered with a wonderful wood grain knotty pine graphics paper from "The Harris Shoe Store" in Dover, New Jersey and are stamped on the outside of the box a size 33. The boots measure 9 1/2 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 1 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 6 or 7 narrow width. They have never been worn, and are old store stock stored away in a basement of the store since 1910. The shoe box is in as-is condition with some wear, damage to the outer cardboard paper. These are truly a rare and wonderful piece of quality made wearable shoe art! $150 |
