Unworn Edwardian Gray Wool Leather Two Tone High Top Lace-up Boots & Shoe Box. Tweet
|
This pair of unworn antique Edwardian era gray two tone wool leather high top lace-up boots and shoe box dates from 1910. They are made of a light dove gray color wool upper boot and slightly darker gray color leather bottom shoe with decorative punch work designs. These beautiful boots have a two tone color fabric material combo, with pointed toes, the original gray shoe string laces for closure and stacked wooden cube heels. They come in the original shoe box covered with a wonderful spider web cobweb graphics foil paper from "The Harris Shoe Store" in Dover, New Jersey and are stamped on the outside of the box a European size 35 C. The boots measure 10 inches tall, 9 1/2 inches long, 2 1/2 inches wide, with 2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 5 narrow width and are stamped inside a size 35 C. They have never been worn, and are old store stock stored away in a basement of the store since 1910. The shoe box has some wear missing a piece of the lid on one end and the boots have a few tiny snag pulls in the wool fabric on the side of one shoe (see close-up). These are truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable shoe art! $100 |
