Unworn Edwardian Black Kid Leather High Top Lace-up Boots & Shoe Box. Tweet
|
This pair of unworn antique Edwardian era black kid leather high top lace-up boots and shoe box dates from 1910. They are made of a supple black kid leather with decorative punchwork and stitched designs. These beautiful black boots have pointed toes, the original black shoe string laces which are frayed, stacked wooden black spool French heels and black bottom leather soles. They come in the original shoe box covered with a wonderful spider web cobweb graphics foil paper from "The Harris Shoe Store" in Dover, New Jersey and are stamped on the outside of the box a size 6 B. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 inches long, 2 3/4 inches wide, with 2 1/4 inch high heel and are stamped inside a size 38. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be about a US size 6 or 7 narrow width. They have never been worn, and are old store stock stored away in a basement of the store since 1910. The shoe box is in as-is condition with some wear, staining breaks damage to the outer cardboard and the shoes string laces are rotted needing replacing. These are truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable shoe art! $100 |
