Unworn Edwardian Black Cloth Patent Leather High Top Button Boots & Shoe Box. |
This pair of unworn antique Edwardian era black cloth patent leather high top button boots and shoe box date from 1910. They are made of black wool cloth fabric upper boot and a black patent leather lower shoe. These womens beautiful black boots have a pointed toe, 14 black shoe buttons along the side for closure and black patent leather covered French spool heels. They come in the original shoe box covered with a wonderful spider web cobweb graphics foil paper from "The Harris Shoe Store" in Dover, New Jersey and are stamped on the outside of the box a European size 37. The boots measure 9 inches tall, 10 1/2 inches long, 3 inches wide, with 2 1/2 inch high heels. These antique boots are difficult to size for today's foot, but my guess would be approximately a US size 7 or 8 narrow width. They have never been worn, and are old store stock stored away in a basement of the store since 1910. The shoe box has some water spot stains and the boots are in good wearable condition, with some rub, smudge marks on the patent leather from storage. These are truly a wonderful piece of quality made wearable shoe art. $150 |
